Schedule of Shabbat Services in Cranston and East Greenwich
The following is an outline of our new Shabbat schedule for a normal month (i.e., no holidays or school vacations):
1st Shabbat of the month in East Greenwich: On Friday evening, we will celebrate Shabbat Yachad with a 6 pm service enhanced with creative readings and singing and the participation of our religious school students. Services will be followed by a Shabbat dinner with a guest speaker. On Saturday morning, we will hold a traditional Shabbat morning service beginning at 9:15 am. Light Kiddush and discussion to follow. 2nd Shabbat of the month in Cranston: On Friday, we will continue our popular “Shalom to Shabbat” program beginning at 7:00 pm- a half-hour before services--in the TY lobby to unwind with wine, cheese, munchies and good company. On Saturday morning, we will hold a traditional Shabbat morning service beginning at 9:15 am. Light Kiddush and discussion to follow. 3rd Shabbat of the month in East Greenwich: On Friday evening, we’ll welcome Shabbat with an early service at 6:00 pm, so that you, your family and/or friends can enjoy a Shabbat evening dinner afterwards. On the third Saturday of the month, we will hold our new, one-hour, multi-generational Family Shabbat service using our new family-friendly prayer book. This service will be a “learning service” in the interests of education our religious school children and anyone who desires a deeper understanding of the “hows” and “whys” of Jewish prayer. Following the service, we will enjoy lunch, singing and good fun. 4th Shabbat of month (and 5th if there is one) in Cranston: Friday evening, we begin our traditional, intimate service welcoming Shabbat at 7:30 pm. Desert, coffee and tea following the service. Saturday morning, our service begins at 9:15 am followed by a light Kiddush and schmoozing. | Regular Service Times:
