Welcome to morah Alexa's class! I am thrilled to be apart of this very important year in your lives!
This is our class page. I will regularly be making important posts, so please keep an eye out!
"Success in t'shuva is not measured by the final score at the end of the game. It is measured by the playing. The striving for good is goodness itself. The striving for perfection is what perfects…"
This week we got to know each other... and not just our names! We discussed the meaning of t'shuva (the process of returning, spiritually), and how it applies to our own daily lives. The process of t'shuva is exemplified in a short video of Jonah we watched and discussed. We also worked on small posters about hopes/goals for the next year, which I hope we are all looking over each morning of this week!
Parents: If you want a quick lesson about Rosh Hashanah, ask your kids what the similarity is between an alarm clock and a shofar!
Homework: 100% completion of the "getting to know you" assignment I passed out, due 9/15. Bring our New Year goals sheet in to class 9/15.
L'shanah tovah tikatev v'taihatem! May you be written and inscribed for a good year! Wishing you all happy, healthy, love-filled year!
